The Navigation Bar

Last Updated: Oct 16, 2014 02:46PM EDT

The Navigation Bar allows you to jump directly to any unit or module in your course. It's hidden by default; to reveal the Navigation Bar click the icon in the upper right of your page, as shown here.

Below you will find a description of the Navigation Bar's elements.

Understanding the Navigation Bar
  1. Content panel. Because this panel is anchored it doesn't scroll with the rest of the Navigation Bar. It offers links to your user profile page and the Table of Contents.

  2. Click on any unit or module title to jump to it in the course.

  3. Time since your last visit. If you've never visited the module, "N/A" is displayed.

  4. Scroll horizontally through the Navigation Bar. Either use the scroll bar at the bottom of the bar like a browser, or click-and-hold any blank area with your mouse to move laterally.

  5. Icons. The Play Button icon will appear after you've finished the walkthrough demo on your first visit, and it will only appear when you return to the Table of Contents page, which is accessed in the Content panel (#1 above).
The gear-shaped icon is for your Settings menu, where you'll find links to My Profile, Help, and Log Out.
