Your first visit — the Tour


On your first visit a tour will automatically describe the different elements of the Table of Contents page, and how they are used. You can move forward through the tour by clicking the Next button, end it immediately with the End button, and replay it later by clicking the "play" icon in the upper-right corner of the Table of Contents page.


Course content — units, modules, assessments, and their schedules


The Table of Contents page includes a list of the course's units. Click each Unit to expose the nested modules, as well as the scored assessments it contains. Access to each unit and module scheduled using the clock icon. Assignments and assessments can also be scheduled. 



The Profile Menu — jump to key topics




The Navigation Bar — jump to any course location


The Navigation Bar is a horizontal-scrolling list of the course's units and modules, like a version of the Table of Contents, and it's available at the top of every course page. Reveal it like a window shade by clicking the icon of three horizontal bars in the top right of any page inside the course.




The blue "Contents" box is anchored, and it contains a link to the Table of Contents page. The other panels scroll horizontally, and enable the user to jump to the beginning of any unit or module by clicking the corresponding unit or module title:




Page navigation — jump to any page


Enter a page number in this field found on any page of your course and hit return to jump to that page. Or use Back or Forward arrows to navigate one page in either direction:



Search — use key words to find content


The Search field finds content throughout the course, not just on the page where you're located:



Note: If searching just the current page, it's suggested you use your browser's find-on-page tool.


Resume Working — your last location in the course


Click the Resume Working button at the top of the Table of Contents page to access your last location in the course. The functionality does not extend to instructors' View Student Work mode.



Help — how to contact Acrobatiq Support


In the profile drop-down menu at the top right of any page, select "Help" to send a message directly to Support or access articles to answer common questions:



Practice activities — Learn By Doing and Did I Get This?


On most Acrobatiq course pages, students will find practice activities with different purposes.

  • Learn By Doing. The LBD exercise is intended to extend the instruction on the concept the student just encountered, and enable a deeper learning through interactivity and immediate, expert feedback. When a student submits an incorrect answer, feedback that's pertinent to the answer is displayed. Likewise, when an answer is correct the feedback offers a little more information to help reinforce the learning. LBD exercises typically offer hints to help students who are stuck


  • Did I Get This? The DIGT exercise usually follows all instruction and practice on a concept, and serves as a self-check for the student. These exercises usually do not include hints, and help the student determine if he or she is ready to proceed or if more practice and review are needed.


Before You Continue — an exercise in metacognition

Theses exercises help students gauge their own understanding of core concepts in the unit. They also give students the opportunity to communicate with the instructor directly, by listing the areas where they feel they need more help in open-ended, text-based responses.

Students are advised to take a few moments to thoughtfully complete all Before You Continue exercises. The more actively students assess their own state of understanding, and communicate it with the instructor, the better prepared both students and instructors will be to address student needs.
